NineSigma Wins Contract with TRW and the Department of Defense

Cleveland, OH (August 19, 2002) - NineSigma, Inc. recently received a major contract from TRW in support of a U.S. Department of Defense project. NineSigma has been engaged to act as an unbiased solicitor to collect responses for an ERP Market Study. The end result of the study will be the recommendation of an ERP supplier for a Defense Department program covering approximately 52,000 users. To conduct this study, NineSigma is using M:XTM, its web-enabled proprietary search methodology, to locate and evaluate potential providers that meet specified published criteria. This is NineSigma’s first contract directly in support of a Department of Defense prime contract holder, TRW.

Through M:X™, customers can quickly find and assess alternative solutions to their science and technology needs facilitating a shortened time to market.

NineSigma’s Ph.D.-level program managers work with a customer to translate a problem, need, or opportunity into a request for proposals (RFP) or request for information (RFI). They then determine who in its database might be capable of responding and e-mail them the request. Responsive proposals are collected and delivered to the customer. In short, NineSigma can significantly reduce a customer’s cost of finding science and technology resources and, for that lower cost, deliver a much broader array of solutions than conventional means.

NineSigma introduced M:X™ to the market in 2001 and has already served a number of world-class companies. A partial list includes Avery Dennison, Delphi, Johnson Controls, Kohler, McDermott, PolyOne, TRW, and UOP.
