NineSigma Names Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

CLEVELAND, OH – September 28, 2006 – NineSigma, Inc., a Cleveland, Ohio-based provider of open innovation solutions to industry, announced today that it has hired Richard E. Putt as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Mr. Putt joins an established organization in helping Fortune 500 companies acquire technical innovations developed outside their existing innovation networks.

Mr. Putt has held several executive vice president and president positions at large corporations with the proven ability to create and nurture “C” level clients. He served as the President of National Accounts for Broadwing Corporation where he helped grow their Fortune 1000 business from $36M to $300M in 48 months. He held leadership positions in five business segments while a vice president at MCI and successfully secured multi-million dollar contracts. He has had P&L responsibility at several other companies throughout his career.

In a related organizational announcement, Charles J. Brez has been named Vice President of Innovation Alliances for NineSigma. This new strategic business initiative will focus on a reward-based, global network program to strengthen and expand NineSigma’s technology resources by rewarding Alliance members for their participation. Brez has been with NineSigma for five years and has more than 30 years of corporate management, commercial and technical expertise.
