NineSigma, representing a multi-billion dollar global automobile manufacturer, invites partners (individuals, companies, or universities) in the design and development of mechanisms that can stably stop and release a gear within a fixed space while withstanding a torque of up to 2000 Nm.  The design mechanism must operate stably at a variety of ambient temperatures while immersed in oil.
