ENG Techscout 2016: Strategic Venturing and Innovation Excellence

This year, the 6th annual ENG Techscout conference is being held in Madrid and will take place September 20-21, 2016.  Techscout works to facilitate the unifying of external venturing, partnership and portfolio growth. This conference focuses on bringing together leading innovation, R&D and corporate venturing executives in order to foster new relationships that will lead to long term growth and portfolio development.

The European Networking Group (ENG) is committed to producing successful business conferences that deliver relevant and valuable material to senior level decision makers across Europe. They believe that face-to-face contact is irreplaceable and provides many benefits in regards to exchanging ideas amongst peers, ultimately impacting your individual and corporate growth positively.

NineSigma’s Patrick Ferran, Vice President, Ferran will be a featured speaker at the event on Wednesday, September 21. At NineSigma, we work to accelerate the innovation cycle and help organizations achieve success and increase their innovation capability. Patrick will be discussing one of NineSigma’s most recently completed innovation contests with General Electric, Unimpossible Missions: The University Edition.

An Innovation Contest is a public-facing innovation initiative where the sponsor offers a prize or collaboration opportunity to elicit proposals to solve a specific technical problem for the organization. They employ integrated marketing and PR elements to signal to the global innovation community that the sponsoring company is committed to advancing their technology solutions and is open to collaboration. Innovation Contests enable the sponsoring company to quickly identify a community of innovators who can focus on their specific technology challenge and provide solutions that can be acted upon, including working prototypes. In the Unimpossible Missions contest, GE asked university students from around the world to select a common expression or idiom and then design an experiment using GE technology that would disprove it.

Join NineSigma at the ENG Techscout event by registering today – there is still time! We look forward to seeing you there. If you are already registered to attend, please contact us to set up a time to meet. We’d love to discuss how NineSigma can aid your organization in its innovation initiatives.
